Your Funeral Guy: SCI offer To Stewart Enterprises may force Low Cost(Green)Funerals.

16 Jul

SCI (Service Corporation International) offer to by Stewart Enterprises may have unintentionally advanced the cause of the lower cost funeral, funeral cost reduction. and green funerals. On the surface and at their locations it may raise Funeral cost.

While working for several of these corporate funeral homes. I observed them often exchanging staff to be competitive and creating disloyalty among funeral directors. The proposed merger will probably create a funeral firing squad. It will be a human relations nightmare. It shows trouble in the funeral industry!

The Low Cost funeral will become more available by others as this SCI offer shows the trouble the funeral industry is in. Green Funerals, Green Burials, and the low cost funeral will become more acceptable options to the General Public. Many of these funeral folks may have to open and operate in facilities with low cost funeral options and even more dignity and respect for you!

Dealing with corporate funeral homes and their funeral costs should not stop you from getting a dignified funeral at lower cost! Find out more information here on lowering the average cost of a funeral.

Your Funeral Guy: A Funeral Cost Question always Asked!

10 Jun

A Funeral cost question is always asked and happens right after you arrange your loved ones funeral. Who asks the question–The Funeral Home owner or manager. The majority of Funeral Home owners managers and the like, always ask –How much Funeral cost $$$ did you get? What did you sell? and How much did you get? This question has great effect on the average cost of a funeral.

This is still the norm in Norh America…

Many Funeral Directors view it as a Funeral Product Industry and not a Funeral Service Industry.

The price is being paid with the rise of low cost and green funerals.

I say this in kindness and hope of Change.

The Special Funeral Packages and the casket always are the Funeral Home Managers focus!

It is simply true, Funeral Directors have a vested interest in Caskets and Urns. Saying the word Tell me where they sell caskets and urns close to cost. There s one place…The Internet.

Funeral Directors do not let folks know about funeral arrangements until it happens whether it is preneed or at need. There should be a required course in HS–How to Negotiate a Funeral! The old funeral books from 1963 to 2002 are ancient history. Education is the answer but 21st century funeral education is the key.

We live in mobile society and most folks do not have a real clue about a Funeral Homes Reputation. Great service can be had for lower cost. It is all about the service, but that includes delivering products close to cost. This is now possible because of the internet.

“In the near future you will not need to have a casket, vault or embalming..”

Two ‘green’ cemeteries in the state of Maine reject embalming, expensive caskets and vaults….these cemeteries are recently created.

Rainbow’s End in Orrington, Maine is one of two recently developed “green cemeteries” in Maine and a few in the United States of America.

A small but growing number of United States citizens are beginning to rethink the modern approach to death and dying.

Believers in “green” funerals and burials are willing to let nature take over with a body rather than delay the inevitable through chemicals, steel caskets and cement cemetery vaults.

They are choosing to do “dust to dust naturally” in places that look more like fields and state parks than manicured lawns and memorial gardens.
This is the concept of a simple burial and signals a 21st century return to pre civil war burials.

In most green cemeteries around the world bodies must be buried in plain wooden- wicker caskets, shrouds or other biodegradable options.

For some, it’s just about money. For others it is about eco friendly.Green Funerals and burials can cost thousands less than a conventional funeral , which can run as high as $10,000-$15,000 with burial.

Green funeral s also creatively eliminate expensive preneed contracts.
All this has been apart of Jewish and Islamic Traditions for many years,

With the return to green funerals comes also a return to home funerals and families caring for the dead.
