National Museum of African-American History and Culture where the Emmet Till historical casket will be kept

The Emmet Till Historical Casket will be moved to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. This  has been reported by ABC 7 news in Chicago. This was a courageous gesture by the family. The casket will be a useful tool to teach folks about Civil Rights.

The original casket was supposed to be preserved at Burr Oak Cemetery In July the Cook County Sheriff  found  the coffin desecrated , with a family of possums living inside. The owners of  Burr Oak Cemetery Perpetua Inc, insulted not just the Emmet Till Family but the civil rights movement in general.

Snippet From ABC 7 Chicago:

“How humble and how honored we are that the family would entrust this important and personal object to the Smithsonian Institution, to the National Museum of African-American History and Culture, said Lonnie Bunch, of the Smithsonian Museum of African-American History.”

Your Funeral Guy…A day above ground is better than a day below.

6 Feb

It is pretty obvious and very clear that for a better future and personal freedom for this world that you need to stay above ground.

First Principle of life is that a day above ground is better than a day below

Do you agree with the hierarchy of values that puts food, clothing and shelter at the top?
A DAY ABOVE GROUND IS BETTER THAN A DAY BELOW. In our culture today we do a lot to avoid death.

Broad prosperity. happens only when governments protect the food, clothing, and shelter of their citizens Or RESIDENTS Good Government protects the citizens and residents from death.. My conservative and liberal friends get really upset when I say that sanctuary of life and the sanctity of of life are related. This is effective government. Protecting the survival of ALL.

This shared responsibility, protecting all of societies residents from death is the purest form of Goodness. My conservative friends go wacky when I state that this may mean basic health care for all. It can take many forms. But it must and will happen.

Indeed this is a core principle to the rights of all humanity, “A DAY ABOVE GROUND IS BETTER THAN A DAY BELOW”
It is an essential element of civil rights as well.

It is also essential period.

When food clothing and shelter are protected, the sanctity of life is protected.
Everyone has a better future and social justice occurs.

I actually have seen cases where food clothing and shelter are threatened by funeral cost, and sometimes taken away.
Everyone has a right to a lower cost funeral. It is the same as civil rights!

Your lower cost funeral needs to be protected by law. In many cases it is. The Funeral Rule a body of Congressional Law protects your funeral rights and the Lower Cost Funeral. To save on Funeral Expenses and personal expenses one needs to be familiar with the Funeral Rule. In the 2008 Presidential race health care and immigration rights have been addressed. Some day soon Presidential Candidates will wise up and address funeral cost.

You have a right to a lower cost funeral.

A day above ground is better than a day below.
