1,000 police and emercency vehicles will be in the Lakewood Police Memorial Procession

The Lakewood Police  Memorial Motorcade|Procession begins Tuesday at 10:00 am. The nation is expected to watch-the reason the thin blue line. Thin Blue Line has a registered trademark. It is simply a blue line on a black background.

Essentially there are three meanings.

1. The thin blue line represents the thin line  Police Officers walk daily between life and death.

2. The thin blue line represents the police officer role of separating the good from the bad order from chaos.

3. The thin blue line  on black is a memorial or a connection or memory between Officers killed in the line of Duty and those who continue with their duties in the present.

ALL THREE MEANINGS APPLY TO THE LAKEWOOD POLICE  MEMORIAL SERVICE.

Here is the Motorcade procession Route for Tuesday, December 8th. The public is encouraged to find a viewing location along the route as seats at the Tacoma Dome will be mostly taken up with attending police officers.
