Revealed Now:Testifying from the Grave-YourFuneralGuy

9 May

Until recently you could only testify from the grave by having a second autopsy so as to change your cause of death. That did happen to Drew Petersen’s third wife Kathleen Saveo. It does cost quite a hunk of change to exhume a dead person and hire a professional to do an autopsy.

Under a new Law it is possible to testify from Beyond the Grave.

Under a new Illinois law it is now possible to testify from beyond the grave. Essentially that is why the  former Bollingbrook, Illinois  police officer Drew Petersen was taken to Court from jail on Friday. His third wife Kathleen Saveo will testify from beyond the grave. in her own murder case. According to the Chicago Tribune article from May 10th, 2009.

Snippet:

prosecutors are expected to rely on a new Illinois statute — one that Glasgow sought for months and that some call Drew’s Law — to allow Peterson’s slain ex-wife, Kathleen Savio, to testify from beyond the grave…..

Under the new hearsay law, which took effect in December, Glasgow could ask a judge to admit Savio’s letters and alleged statements to friends and family into court…..

It allows testimony from the grave, so to speak, about threats of violence made toward the victim,” said defense attorney Lawrence Wolf Levin.”

Now, The dead can testify from beyond the grave in 2009.
