More details have been revealed in the Nodar Kumaritahsvili funeral. A street in the athletes home town will be named after him. His grave has been dug by family and relatives. This is how it is done in most parts of the world.
The Olympic Committee in Vancover Canada is still investigating the luge death.
“A Bakuriani street will be named after Nodar Kumaritahsvili who died tragically in the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. The decision was adopted by the Bakuriani settlement council.
The athlete’s body was brought home this morning. Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow civil funeral rites will be held, and a funeral will be held on Saturday. Kumaritashvili will be buried at the Blessed Virgin Church, which is under construction in the settlement.”

It has been revealed that the Nodar Kumaritashvili Funeral will take place Saturday in the country of Georgia.Kumaritashvili’s death on the luge still is having it’s effect on the Winter Olympic Games in Vancover.
Dozens of mourners greeted Kumaritashvili’s coffin, draped in a red-and-white Georgian flag, as it arrived at his family home in the mountainous town of Bakuriani ahead of his funeral on Saturday.
For now like most places in the world when someone dies like Kumaritashvili’s coffin, is in his home. Except for the North America and a few other places around the world, the central location for a funeral is the person’s s home. The funeral done at home is coming back to North America. in the form of the home funeral and the green funeral.

There is no funeral plan, or funeral arrangements made public for Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Georgian Killed on the luge on Friday at the OLYMPICS. The You Tube Death video was gaining popularity but was removed last night. NBC also shelved their video.
