Press Secretary Robert Gibbs  announced today that US President Barack Obama will fly to Poland  Saturday to to attend the State Funeral  of Polish President Lech Kaczynski.

US President Barack Obama will leave for Poland on Saturday to attend the funeral of late president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, killed in a plane crash in Russia, his spokesman said……

Obama, ………led leaders at the 47-nation nuclear security summit in Washington Tuesday in a moment of silence for Kaczynski and offered condolences to all Poles.

Matthews International has purchased a casket company in California. Matthews is #3  Casket Company  but  carries the  most  diverse  set of products of a Casket Company.

Matthews International Corp.’s acquisition of rival Reynoldsville Casket Co. is the latest move by the North Shore-based company to bolster its casket business as consumers spend less on burial and increasingly opt for cremation.

On Monday, Matthews announced it was acquiring Reynoldsville Casket in Jefferson County for an undisclosed price. Reynoldsville, which has a warehouse in Homestead, had $13 million in sales in 2009.

IFDA WHERE DID THE MONEY GO?The crimes committed by the Illinois Funeral Directors Association should not go unpunished.

There are many ongoing investigations in the Illinois Funeral Directors Association(IFDA) preneed scandal. Lawsuits are hung up in  the courts. It is being reported that reform legislation is held up in the Illinois legislature.

In the meantime, there is no telling how long consumers will have to wait while the matter still is under investigation. It could be months or years before the Graces and thousands of Illinois residents who prepaid for funerals know where millions of missing trust fund dollars went.

There is still some uncertainty on the Time and Date of Kaczynski, plane crash victims Funeral in Poland

The State Funeral for Polish President Lech Kaczyinski may take place on Saturday and possibly Sunday. This is what the New York Times is reporting.

“Officials said a memorial service for all 96 victims of the crash would be held on Saturday and that a state funeral for Kaczynski and his wife Maria could take place either on the same day or on Sunday.”

Some reports are saying that Polish Officials want a national memorial service for the 96 passengers killed in the Presidential Plane crash, and the State Funeral to be a part of the same service. Other reports state that Officials want both  services to happen on Saturday- the end of the National Week of Mourning.

Delays in body identification of the crash victims in Russia-may affect the Date and time of the Funeral Services.
