The Funeral Industry Website Connecting Directors.com is chasing Walmart Caskets and seems to think they are low quality.

Problem is the webmaster has not seen a Walmart Casket. There is another problem:In his one case  the Family who purchased the casket was very satisfied according to the Funeral Director in his article.

The funeral director reported a not what is expected  casket quality but refused to produce pictures as proof.

“everything went very smooth and in the end the family was very pleased with the service they received from the funeral home and Walmart, and that is what really matters.

I think in the end what made this experience a pleasant one for Jeff was the fact that the family was happy with they product they had purchased. Obviously, if they would not have been it would have been a tougher situation for Jeff. I don’t doubt that as more funeral directors experience the “Walmart casket”, not every story is going to be as smooth as this one.

Now it does appear that this website is setting Walmart up with a casket fall.

Walmart is selling caskets online. This Started right before Halloween. The initial story created an internet storm with extremely negative feedback from funeral directors and the Funeral Industry.

Funeral home owners do not take kindly to Third Party Casket Sales. The Largest retailer in the country selling caskets online pose a threat to the major casket Companies, Batesville, Aurora, and York Casket Company.

The funeral industry has much to gain by suggesting that Walmart is selling inferior Caskets.

The live streaming video of the Oral Roberts funeral and memorial service is over details of the memorial serice are appearing in the press.There is no replay of the memorial service on the web. Instead you have to pay for the DVD. It appears that the Oral Roberts tradition of always asking for money lives on in death.

Your Funeral Guy is NOT Putting up the link to purchase the DVD. It appears that money may be more important than the Oral Roberts legacy!

Just out of college i was given  the opportunity to send in  for a prayer cloth of Oral Roberts healing hand and PAY FOR IT. The Tradition continues, The only way to see the Oral Roberts Memorial Service from ORU  is to pay.

Stewart Enterprises INC has posted a 4th Quarter Revenue decline. Cutting of Salaries and expenses in the fourth quarter enabled the company to show a profit.

Fragile Economy is contributing to a Funeral Industry Decline

Revenues declined to $124.1 million from $130.36 million in the prior year quarter.

This another indication of funeral industry decline. Salaries and expenses cannot be cut forever. The Traditional Funeral Industry is on the brink.  It is an indication that  consumers are paying less for funerals, an are able to negotiate a  lower cost funeral.

Stewart Enterprises is the second largest funeral corporation in America. It’s financial reports, along with the largest corporation Service Corporation International can be taken as a measurement of the Funeral Industry.

Oral Roberts died from complications from pneumonia. He was one of America’s most pioneering  ministers in the area of using the television for Evangelism  and putting healings on TV.
