Investigations into the Burr Oak Cemetery scandal are continuing. The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation is compiling funeral home information on the cemetery. Most information from funeral directors was in On August 6th 2009. Some extensions however were granted.
In the Burr Oak Cemetery Scandal over 300 graves were desecrated and there were over 50,000 complaints from families.
News radio 78 in Chicago reported on August 17th 2009 that Cook County Sheriff Dart said that investigations are moving along quickly.
Last week it was reported(:chicagobreakingnews.com) that the Cemetery Oversight Task Force(cemeterytaskforce.illinois)wanted to hear from the owners of Burr Oak Cemetery. Burr Oak is owned by Perpetua, Inc.
Lawsuits also are continuing.
