This is a Funeral Cost Trick They keep the family name on the funeral home when they really are a corporation. They pressure the lower cost guy and the independents out.

Our small town in NY had SCI take over alderwood after they already had a big presence. The result they sell flowers at double the cost it would be to go to a florist. But now that they take so many orders they have set the bar locally. It is really bad for the consumer.
